  • 250 g Quark, fresh
  • 100 g Haferflocken, coarse
  • 2 Eier, fresh
  • 100 g Zucker, normal or brown
  • 1 Päckchen Backpulver
  • 1 TL Vanilleextrakt
  • 50 ml Pflanzenöl, mild (e.g. rapeseed or sunflower oil)
  • 1/2 TL Zimt (optional)

  1. Preheat your oven to 180 degrees Celsius.
  2. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  3. In a large bowl, combine the quark and eggs.
  4. Add the rolled oats, sugar, and baking powder to the quark-egg mixture.
  5. Stir everything thoroughly until a uniform mass is formed.
  6. Add a dash of vanilla extract and optional cinnamon.
  7. Mix everything well again.
  8. Using a tablespoon, drop small portions of the dough onto the baking sheet.
  9. Ensure there is enough space between the individual talers.
  10. Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven and bake the quark-taler for about 15-20 minutes, or until golden brown.
  11. Let the baked talers cool briefly on the baking sheet, then transfer them to a wire rack.
  12. Allow the talers to cool completely.
